We know that real estate markets are very location specific. We also know that unsold inventory is increasing in parts of Florida and Texas and other areas.
But in other areas, the market is still super hot due to shortage of inventory. No better way to highlight that point than this story right here. A notorious murder house in Silicon Valley sells for list price.
In most places, even in California, a notorious murder house would have a very challenging time selling and if so, would have to be sold at a huge discount. Not in Silicon Valley if
your house in a good neighborhood with good schools. It only took 9 Day on Market!
Interestingly, the buyer agent on the other side was an agent from out of the area. I wonder if they dove deeply into the disclosures to catch everything about the house and specifically about the murder. What if the agent and the buyers did not look closely into the disclosures to catch the gruesome activity associated with this house?
This will be an interesting story to follow in the coming months.
