As of Today,
The current SIP (Shelter In Place Order) has been extended now until May 3,2020.
Residential Real Estate and supporting services have now been added to the list of Essential Services with restrictions. However, according to the local MLS and CAR, two of the three activities which are integral to conducting real estate transactions are still not permitted until further notice (this is an evolving process as you can see from Residential Real Estate going from Non-Essential to Essential Service).
Other related services permitted now
*physical staging not pemitted, only virtual staging
So the take away from the new SIP update is that Real Estate and its supporting industry is such a huge part of the economy, it is slowly moving towards becoming able to function where possible with limited interactions and least amount of physical contact with parties.
I will try to keep you up to date as we learn more as an industry. There is a lot more granular details which I have not addressed here. So if you are in need of more details, please feel free to contact me.
