When the Fed met this week, they chose inaction but indicated an impending rate hike in December as the employment numbers looked healthy enough to warrant such a move.
Although the rates have not been touched, the market has been anticipating an increase and rates moved to the highest in months. The 7 basis point jump this week has been the highest one week increase in over 6 months.
The question now is, once the Fed increases the rates, how much quicker will rates increase in 2017?
